Cavendish Water Development Update - April 2026

Apr

April has been one of the busiest months on site since the project began, and the progress across several work streams at once is a real reflection of how well the construction programme is being managed.

The retaining wall is now underway, and it is worth taking a moment to explain why this particular element matters so much. It is not simply another item on the programme.

The retaining wall is a fundamental structural feature of the entire development, and getting it right is essential before the next major phases can begin in earnest.

Work on this is running in parallel with the ongoing concrete curing process, and coordinating both at the same time requires constant attention to quality and sequencing.

The teams managing these two workstreams have done an excellent job of keeping everything moving without compromising on either.

The shear wall installation is also progressing well. This, combined with the continued curing activity, is steadily building the overall structural integrity of the development.

Seeing these major components advance together is a strong indicator of how effectively the programme is being run.

What might look straightforward from the outside involves a significant amount of planning to ensure each element is ready for the next.

It has also been a landmark week for deliveries. The precast concrete planks that will form the floors of each level across the buildings arrived on site, and they are now being positioned into place.

This is one of those moments where the project begins to feel genuinely tangible. Once the planks are installed at each level, the form and scale of the individual blocks becomes much easier to picture, and the apartments themselves start to take real shape.

To handle the lifting and positioning of components at this scale, a crane has now been mobilised on site. The installation alone took three days, which gives some sense of the scale of the equipment involved.

It will be a fixture on site for the foreseeable future, supporting the placement of the larger structural elements as the building continues to rise. The overall picture at Cavendish Waters right now is one of genuine momentum.

Multiple significant workstreams are running concurrently, the coordination between trades is holding up well, and the pace of visible progress is accelerating.

None of this happens without careful planning, and the team on the ground deserves considerable credit for managing such a complex and busy programme.

The anticipated completion date for Cavendish Waters stands at the second quarter of 2027, and we will continue to bring you regular updates as the build progresses. As ever, thank you for your continued support and patience. There is a great deal more still to come.
