The crucial foundational steps of the Cavendish Waters site are now moving at a great speed, with Block A’s initial foundation floor taking shape.
This will create a stable starting platform for a ground pour and other structural components.
Once the concrete of the ground pour sets, it will then follow a careful curing process to ensure structural stability to then take some vertical load.
The recent high temperatures will aid this part of the process as the concrete dries and forms a strong foundation floor.
On a similar note, the piling process on Block B has accelerated a great deal; with the final steel case piles applied earlier this week. Footage captured this week shows a site buzzing with activity and heavy machinery.
As work on the super-structure starts to gain momentum, the onsite team wastes no time taking advantage of the warm weather conditions to move to the ultimate foundational phases.
The onsite and offsite teams will now coordinate and compare design notes, trading valuable feedback on how the site adapts to changing weather conditions, ground behaviour near the river and stability of foundation floors.
As this project is moving at such great speed, we will be sharing constant updates throughout the milestones of the journey, up until its completion.
In fact, at a projected Q3 2026 completion; there will be plenty to keep up with across our channels as IPG works to evolve Liverpool’s already-established standing as a Northern Powerhouse City.
We’re so excited to share much more of the project’s progress over the next few months and beyond.
This project represents a special part of IPG’s pioneering mission in Liverpool.
